Korean First Birthday Invitation 돌잔치 청첩장
A baby’s first birthday is a huge deal for Koreans. Huge parties are hosted with tons of food. The baby is dressed in hanbok and people are invited to wish the baby a happy and prosperous life. Children’s hanbok are often designed with “saekdong” (colorful stripes).
The client requested a traditional Korean-looking design, incorporating “saekdong”, dragons, plum blossoms and such. All illustrations and design work are my own.

Designed to be perforated in the middle so that the recipient can detach RSVP and send back as postcard. The saekdong (colorful stripes) design here is the “backside” of each half.
